Outlook Express 5/6 Setup

Requirements
You will need the following information.

  • Outlook Express 5 or 6 for Windows
  • Your login ID (user name) ex: joeuser
  • Your password

1. Launch Outlook Express and click on Tools, and then Click on Accounts.

 

2. Be sure the Mail tab is selected and then click on Add, and then select Mail.

3. Type in your name in the Display name field. Click Next.

4. Type in your email address in the field. For Example: joeuser@hometc.com

5. Be sure that POP3 is selected and then type in postoffice.hometc.com in the
Incoming mail field. Then type in postoffice.hometc.com in the Outgoing mail
(SMTP) field. Click Next.


 

6. Type in your username in the Account name field.
Type in your password in the provided field. Click Next.
* Remember that these need to be typed in lower case.


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

7. Click the Finish button.



8. Click the Close button. You are now ready to user Outlook Express.
